What we eat has a profound impact on our health and can either improve our health or put it at risk. Excess pounds on the body greatly increase the risk of several serious diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and cancer, which is why people are trying to reduce it in any way they can. Although some diets work, most of them are ineffective or help you lose weight at too steep a price.

Luckily, we have one diet which works well and won’t harm your health. It was invented by a famous European cardiologist and is based on eggs and fruit. The diet is pretty simple to follow – the breakfast is always the same (a piece of your favorite fruit except grapes or bananas), while the other meals contain easily available ingredients. Here’s the diet plan:

Lunch: 1 egg, a cup of yogurt, an orange

Dinner: 2 eggs, 2 tomatoes and 2 pieces of toast, ½ a cucumber or a small lettuce salad


Day #2

Lunch: 1 boiled egg, a cup of yogurt, an orange

Dinner: 125 gr. of cooked red meat, 1 piece of toast, 1 orange, a cup of tea or coffee (no sugar!)


Day #3

Lunch: 1 boiled egg, a cup of yogurt, an orange

Dinner: same as the previous day


Day #4

Lunch: 125 gr. of cottage cheese, 1 piece of toast, an orange

Dinner: the same as days 2 and 3


Day #5

Lunch: 200 gr. of cooked red meat, a piece of toast, 1 tomato. You can replace the red meat with fish if you like

Dinner: ½ a pound of cooked potatoes, carrots and peas


The diet needs to be followed for 5 days, with a two-day rest before repeating it again. Alcohol and sugar are avoided during the diet, and you should prepare your meals without salt. If you’re suffering from serious health problems, we suggest consulting with a doctor first. Other than that, you can freely try the diet and you’ll be amazed by the results!
